The material characterization for thermosets is a particular challenge. We have specialized in this through our own scientific work and close cooperation with universities.
We are also engaged in the characterization of recycling compounds (thermoplastic recyclates).

How important is material characterization?

Thermosets or thermosetting plastics are used in a specific technical segment for special requirements.

In the planned use of recycled materials for technical components, the uncertain composition is a risk factor.

In both cases, this means increased demands in parts development and the best possible clarification of the anticipated capabilities of this product.

Material characterization as a basis for simulation

I will show you how to truly reach the recipient through thoughtful and tailored communication methods, and how to find a receptive audience with the right message.

Therefore, the verification of the design through simulation is an important development step. We not only conduct the simulations for you, but we also perform the necessary material characterization, data fitting, and the creation of the material map.

Lack of reliable data

Simulations are ideal opportunities to predict the results in the component or application during the development phase. The simulation is only as reliable as the datasets behind it allow.

However, for thermosetting plastics and as well for recycled plastics, there are often only very old, incomplete, or even no data available as a basis.

We assist with this and prepare the datasets for them based on the necessary information for the simulation software.
