High-quality photos with a trained view
A good picture is stronger than a thousand words!
As a subtle warning upfront: a convincing image is not that easy to achieve when you don’t know what really matters – because your customers are certainly paying attention to different details than a photographer from outside the industry.
With the right focus, you not only achieve appealing and convincing images, but you also save valuable time and costs.
Perfect photos (result, time, effort)
Perfectly fitting photos of your processes and products ensure that your customers can immediately feel: this is the right place for me.
However, it’s not just about the result, but also about the entire effort that goes into getting there.
- Briefing on the motives and usage
- Preparation (and interruption) of the production
- Time expenditure and efficiency during the shoot
- Necessary post-processing or second shoot
When the context is lacking
The photographer is responsible for the composition of the image. This has a significant impact on the effect and the message of the image.
Without the “right lens” of the photographer, costly pitfalls can quickly arise.
The photographer, however, rarely knows your customers or target markets and therefore does not know which subtle details your customers pay attention to. More on that later.
Industrial photography services
In the following areas, I support you with photos and videos of industrial processes and technical components:
High-resolution images suitable for large format printing
Process, technology, and machinery photography
Product images
Ultra-macro close-ups with multiple magnifications (highlighting the smallest details)
Image editing in Photoshop or similar.
Process and product videos with unexpected shooting angles
When the photographer captures images “through the eyes” of the sales team, quality managers, and technicians, the pictures resonate and have an impact.
Knowing what matters in photos
When I know the specific features of a process, a material, or a product for an application in a particular market, and which target audience I want to address and convince – then I have a “guide” that allows me as a photographer to perfectly compose the image.
“A perfect image conveys the message without any words.”
After more than 15 years in industrial marketing, I cannot emphasize enough: without the overall perspective, it is difficult to create a single component that is “suitable for the environment.” How is it supposed to work if I excel in my defined area as an expert, but I don’t know exactly which other factors or influences I should pay attention to?
The path to good photos without wasting costs
When do problems and high costs arise in the creation of your visual materials? Mainly when the commissioned images do not meet your expectations and need to be edited or re-shot.
A practical example of this:
- You assign one or two employees to explain the company and the processes at first – and the photographer has to try to understand these new things to some extent.
- You interrupt production and start to simulate a situation.
- After a whole day, 5-6 different situations are “in the can,” and a few days later, you receive the photos.
They are really good pictures, but suddenly the details stand out:
- There were still defective parts or screwdrivers on the table, or the protective gear was not worn correctly.
- The technological detail that was supposed to be presented was captured out of focus.
- At first glance, great pictures, but your customers notice important details right away – and just like that, the benefit is gone.
I myself have accompanied several photographers in productions and later couldn’t use the images as planned. Or we had to pay for expensive Photoshop changes that could have been avoided with the right prior knowledge.
